Boris Semenovich Zakharov – New Pumping Equipment for Oil Extraction
This work presents a comprehensive overview of research and development in pumping equipment for oil extraction, conducted by the small company OOO "Ekogermet-M" in collaboration with major oil enterprises including OAO "Udmurtneft," OAO "Tatneft," OAO "Belkamneft," and OAO "Orenburgneftegaz." Testing and implementation of new sucker-rod pump designs have also taken place abroad, in China, the USA, and Venezuela. The equipment designs are protected by both Russian and international patents.
The book describes modern types of sucker-rod well pumps, tested on stands and implemented in industry. These pumps surpass technical and economic parameters of counterparts produced in Russia and abroad. Key patented innovations include a "Universal mechanical seal for moving joints of machines" (Russia, 1993; USA, 1998) and a "Sucker-rod well pump" (Russia, 1992; USA, 1998). The authors also present advanced designs still in development or production, such as pumps for horizontal wells, hydraulic pressure generators with ring valves, implosion and pump-implosion units, pumps for ORÉ systems, and hydraulic piston units. Additionally, OOO "Ekogermet-M" and OAO "Tatneft" have begun work on high-efficiency axial-plunger pumps for oil extraction and water injection.
